Hello.
Yesterday, I made the mistake of installing a giant font package with thousands of fonts included on it. Well, everything that uses fonts such as Photoshop and MSWord either crashes or takes ages to load upon selecting the font drop-down menu.
So I went into the Fonts folder, selected all the fonts, and hit delete. I had prompts about being unable to delete system required fonts for a few of them, I just clicked okay.
As expected, Explorer halted up and I left it alone for a few hours thinking that it'd take a while to delete such a large number of fonts. After a restart, I noticed that no fonts were shown in the Font folder, but when I opened Photoshop, they were all listed and usable in the drop-down menu.
So, I went
here and tried the trick with deleting the font names from the registry. I did it, same problem.
Another funny thing is that it takes a long time to load up the font folder, even though there's seemingly nothing in it. When I VNC into my computer, I am able to view fonts in the font folder using the VNC program's file viewer (fonts that I couldn't see normally with explorer), but attempts to delete them result in a simple "error".
Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?
Thanks in advance.
