Hi Gary. Frankly no secret in creating one. Not even skill needed all. I happen to bring home one of the office Laptop which has Xara 3D Maker 7, we can make it just in a snap. After typing the text, pick the animation we like. Need to pick proper frame per cycle, frame per second, pause time, etc, then export the animation as gif. Need some adjustment upon saving the animation for the width, height, color depth, dithering, and transparency. Have to do it once and again until the file size meet the avatar or signature required size. The proper size can also be achieved by adjusting frames and cycle per sec.
That is all. If you have Xara 3d Maker 7 installed. Believe you can play with it in a blink of an eye, Gary.

That was what I told Jerry few hours back. Have asked Shawn, EF doesn't accommodate animated gif.
