    Possible to remove Explorer filters?

Tried searching for this but got no results. Is it possible to remove the alphabetical filters in Win7's Explorer? See the screenshot:

Yes, they can be useful, no, I don't want them. Is there a registry key or something that allows them to be removed or otherwise hidden?

It gets in the way mainly because I save a lot of stuff; in the "save as" dialog box that pops up, I used to just hit "shift + tab" twice, which moved the cursor focus from the filename text box to the files being shown in the current folder. From there I just used the arrow keys to navigate existing filenames.

With the filters around though I need to hit another "shift + tab"; I tend to forget, and if you press an arrow key after shift + tabbing twice, the focus is on the filters and the arrow keys just move between them. Ugh. So I have to reach for the mouse.

Obscure use case, I know, shrug. I wouldn't care if I didn't have to spend a couple hours doing this thing everyday.

Good morning to you. I'm guessing somewhat but I don't think their is a normal way of doing what you are trying to do. With all the people that have looked at your post with no answers I'm thinking that is true but I will ask for help from others.

It's not really removing them, what Arc said to do is change the view to something other then Details.
