Hey Mark, how about posting a download link here so we don't have to join another forum to get them.

    Thanks

so these are x64 only or can we still use imageres.dll and what not from the system32 folder on x86?

Edit:I tried the installer assuming the syswow64 variants would be ignored since i'm running 32bit Windows, needless to say it didn't work

come on with the x86 icons Mark!!

BTW, these are exactly wot i wanted a while ago?

    Yo Mr Grimm:
I d\L the new black and gold icons and they won't install. Maybe its because I'm using the 7100RC and not the 7600RTM. Could that be the reason that they won't install. I uninstalled the glossy blue icons first but no joy in installing the new black and gold icons. BTW I don't use system restore, I use a product called "Rollback RX" to restore my system to a previous time. That means I don't have a system restore point. Since I don't have a system restore point would that interfere with the installation process of the black and gold icons?

Hi FyrmnJ, it might be because you have the RC but it should still install regardless I believe, although I think there are issues with API functions if you use the RTM dll on the RC, it might have something to do with the system restore being switched off also, You might want to check if the backup dll's are removed as well otherwise that will stop the installer from functioning.

If you don't have any other modified system files you can run sfc /scannow and that will restore the default icons but you will still need to remove the backups manually.

I will make a 7100 version as well if you like although you should be using 7600 by now as I assume most people would be.

Also @ Matt, I will make a x86 installer shortly.

Mr. Grimm can you tell me exactly where those backup DLL files are that have to be deleted, thanks. I don't want to delete the wrong ones.
