Remove "set as desktop background" in Explorer Context Menu

I've noticed that if I right click a jpg file I get "set as desktop background" option in the context menu.

How can I remove this option?

PS: I just want to remove the context menu option, not the function ..

im not sure it can be done and still have it function.
i have a software called windows 7 manager, it allows you to customize all sorts of areas of win 7. including all context menus. in the vast list of different context menu items that it will allow you to remove ."set as desktop background" is not there.
if fact if you could remove it how would you propose it would still function as right clicking an image as setting it as a background doesn't appear anywhere else but in a context menu,

good research on all those links A guy

Yeah, if the option isn't listed, you won't be able to use it... If you just want a cleaner context menu, I can understand, but otherwise, I can't grok what you want to do :)

well, guys and boohbah. Context menu's i fiddled with is .reg that change windows registry. if I press Remove_Share_with_to_Context_Menu.reg the "send to" Explorer context menu disappears. And.. If I press Add_Send-To_to_Context_Menu.reg the "Send to" Explorer context menu appears again.

So I don't want to change How Windows behave with Background usage.. I just want the menu option to vanish

Maybe a little (a lot?) late, but searching for a way to do the very same, finally found the way.

The trick is to remove a registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SystemFileAssociations\.jpg\Shell\setdesktopwallpaper

That's for jpg files, but repeat searching the same route with different file extensions and you can delete the context menu option for each one individually. The changes should take effect immediately, without reboot or logoff.

:) Thank you:):), I've been searching the Registry for so long for such an entry to remove. I overlooked SystemFileAssociation. I even have a bookmark for this key. To make the Set as desktop background disappear, perhaps the entry could be ranamed, but I opted for deletion instead (I deleted the entries for .jpg, .jpe, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif). I just exported REG files for the keys I deleted, so I can restore them easily.
