is there a way to add extra desktops to win7

Like Mac has the ability to add extra desktops can win7 do it too ?

Or even a way to let me increase my desktop size so I can slide around to different parts of it ?

Can it be done or do I have to download a 3rd party software ?

There are many programs that provide that capability. I used to use "desktops" for such functionality. Can be downloaded from here: Desktops
