Thanks Steph!
I used MG OpenModata as font with a self created pattern of Rounded Rectangle Tool of about 55x30 (fixed size) with about 5 pixels on the right and bottom side (so the document is 60x35, and the pattern is made in the upper left corner).

Feeble Try

Haven't made one for awhile. Ideas are in short supply here.

Very nice Stefan. I tried to do an equalizer a while ago and failed miserably.

That's a nice one!

If you'd like to try another equalizer, Here's the tutorial I based mine on, it gives a good explanation of the pattern overlay and such.
Al tho I did find my way of creating the pattern way easier:
Note   Note

Open a new file, dimensions 60x35, color transparent.
Get the Rectangular Marquee Tool and change the style to Fixed Size of 55x30.
Click on the canvas and move the pattern to the upper left corner.
Next enable the rulers on the left and top side, and draw a ruler to each side (left, right, top and bottom).
Now hit Crlt + D to deselect everything.

Now switch to the Rounded Rectangle Tool, change the Radius to 10 px and the fill color to White (depending on color of background of wallie).
Now roughly select the area you just marked with the rulers (it should snap to the edges).

Aaand there is the start of your pattern!

Now to change that into a pattern click Ctrl + E to select everything, navigate to Edit > Define Pattern and then name it however you like and hit Ok.

The size of the pattern depends on the size of the wallie. Mine was 1920x1080, and 55x30 was perfect for that.

Oh, and this is the font used in the tut.

Good luck if you're going to give it another try
