    Select All

    Hello,

Will someone assist me in making this work with Windows 7 64 bit?

It works fine with Windows 7 32 bit and I really use these features allot.

    Thank You

    Hello Rockit,

If you like, you could just use the tutorial below to add "Select All" to the context menu for this without having to install any 3rd party software. The .reg file just adds it to the context menu using Windows own feature.

Select all - Add to Context Menu in Windows 7

    Hope this helps, :)

    You're welcome.

I haven't been able to get the "Invert Selection" option from Windows 8 to work in Windows 7 yet.

I tried to merge the reg file and no go.

So I do not have either option avalable on my new laptop that has 16 gig of ram.. The only difference between the laptop and my desktop is the laptop has Windows 7 Premium 64 bit verses the 32 bit of Windows 7 Premium on my desktop with 4 gig of Ram.

I was looking at the program I uploaded and it looks like the .ini file could be rewritten as a reg file to make it work but I maybe wrong. I will contact the author and see if he will update it.

What happens when you try to merge the .reg file?

Are you logged in as an administrator?

I've updated the .reg files in the tutorial above to add more to them. Try downloading and merging the new version now.

    Thank You Shawn,

It seems to be working fine now. The little freeware program I attached does not require a program to run. It does not even seem to create any startup entry. I have found it to be very useful for many years. I emailed the author and asked if he can fix it as the "invert select all" option is one I find and use quite often.

For now just having the Select All feature back is very helpful.

    Thank You Again

    You're most welcome.

If you ever use Windows 8, I have a version below that works much better in it. To bad it will not work in Windows 7. :)

Select - Add or Remove from Context Menu in Windows 8

    Fixed

The developer of the tweak responded to me with a 64 bit version.

    It works GREAT !!

Not sure if I should post it here but it is available at his website.

    ** REMOVED **

It is not a program .. Just a tweak.

    Thanks for your kind comments.
