    Font size change not applying

All of a sudden the font size in the display settings decided to revert to small, I had set it to medium when I first installed Windows 7 as I cannot read the small text size at high resolutions.
I have tried to set it back to medium, followed the prompt to log off, even restarted, but it just doesn't want to put the font back up to medium size, it stays small.

Any ideas? This is kind of driving me crazy :P

Are you trying to make just the font size bigger or the windows and everything in general?

for everything in general try this..

DPI Display Size Settings - Change

Desktop -> Right Click -> Personalize -> Display -> Choose Medium or Large, then you'll be prompted to Log off, so log off and then log back on it should all be a bit bigger depending on which setting you chose.

I hope this has helped and please get back if this wasn't what you were looking for, maybe I can continue to help you if not im sure someone else can!

    Thanks,

Fixed it by ticking XP DPI Scaling, funnily enough I swear I tried that before and it didn't work, but it did the second time round.

Happy to be able to read the interface again :), thanks for the help.

The problem has come back and the text has reverted to normal (100%) and will not budge, I tried 125%, i tried 150%, i tried 200%, with and without windows XP DPI style scaling and the problem persists.

I've been uninstalling programs one by one trying to see if any of those are the culprits but so far, nothing.

EDIT: I didn't do anything in particular but after one random restart the font size changed back to the 120% i had set it to, this is so random.

This is driving me crazy too, all kinds of other programs have problems and crash once I up the custom text size DPI to 200%. I'm using my HD TV as a monitor at 1920x1080p (and I'm visually disabled) and very few programs will run unless I set the text back to 100%. IT seems these other programs are getting their information on the resolution I'm using from something associated with these settings. If I revert back to 100% everything is ok, but I can't see the text plus it's a pain to have to continually be switching back and forth.

Programs will intermittently acknowledge the change in font size and then they won't. Dialog boxes will be so big I can't access the buttons on the bottom. All kinds of problems. Perhaps there's a way I could write a script and associate it with these programs to switch the text automatically when I activate the program?

hmm, second question I've posted on this forum that has gone unanswered or unaddressed. Am I doing something wrong?
