How to customize the Menu Bar in Windows?

    Hello all,

Sorry if I missed something too simple, but I can't seem to find the way to customize the Menu Bar, the one right above the Command bar. When I right-click on it, it gives me only the "lock the toolbar" option. It has the usual suspect buttons now, "File, "Edit", "View" etc, but I want to add Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete etc.

This was a 30 second process on Win XP

    Thanks!

Hello sunsetlover, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if using OPTION ONE or OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to add these as toolbar buttons may work for you for this.

    Hope this helps, :)

    Thanks very much Brink.

I tried option 2 with so-so results. Some of the buttons I picked don't show up (Cut and Copy). I think there is a limit to how many the bar will accept.

btw, I can't believe this functionality is not native to Win 7.

    You're most welcome.

Another option would be to use the free program Classic Shell. It has a feature to add toolbar items as well. You might give it a try to see if it may work better. It has a lot of other customization features as well.

Check out the screenshots for the program below.
