    Hi pandjie24,

You may try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Run 'System File Checker Tool' and check if the issue is resolved: Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

    2. If the issue persists you may try to roll back the 'software changes' to the 'date/time' when the system worked fine: System Restore
(Note: System restore does not lead to data-loss; but all 'software changes' after the chosen 'date/time' are undone)

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions; would be glad to assist.

I have tried those two steps, but the personalization still doesn't show up...

I also found the personalization missing from registry, so i just copy the key from another computer... then Personalize just show in the drop down menu, but when I click on it, I got message from EXPLORE.EXE , Unspecified Error...

is there anything missing from my system??

    Hi pandjie24,

You may try the following 'Microsoft Hotfix' and check if that works: "Unspecified error" error message when you click Personalization on the shortcut menu on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

If the issue persists, please share details of the 'registry key' that you copied from another computer. Do reply with the results; will take it forward.

Try changing your Control Panel view to large or small icon and then go down and click on Personalization and see if you get it back.

    Hi pandjie24,

'Windows 7 Ultimate & Enterprise editions' pretty much have the same specifications and are virtually identical to the end user. 'Windows 7 Ultimate' contains the same features, but unlike the 'Enterprise edition', it is available to home users on an individual license basis. You may want to take a glance at the list of features in 'Windows 7 Ultimate': Compare Windows 7 - Microsoft Windows

Another difference between the two editions is that 'Microsoft' support for 'Ultimate edition' extends till 2015 while the support for 'Enterprise edition' extends till year 2020.

You may also refer to the 'Windows 7 edition comparison chart' for more details: Windows 7 editions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Hope this helps.

As I mentioned in my reply to you in your other thread, Enterprise is a volume licensed edition of Windows 7 and not meant to be used by private consumers.
