    Black Glass Enhanced

    Hi,

The program Black Glass Enhanced 0.5 doesn’t work with the default Windows 7 theme. Why is that?

Are you referring to this theme?

    Hi, Dinesh,

    Yes, I am. However, it’s not a theme; it’s a program.

I have already patched my system. I can use custom themes just fine. The problem is that Black Glass Enhanced works just fine with certain custom themes but not all themes, namely 7.5 and the default theme.

What happens when you apply this theme?

Do you get an error msg?

Hello Rand. Black Glass program works appropriately with only those themes those having a black/dark explorer background. It has the ability to make some other program windows transparent, too; only when the program window backgrounds are black.

But it you have black glass enabled with a non-black theme, you will face a situation as in the uploaded picture, hazy and non prominent text. What I have said, it is for black themes only.

When you are applying a non black theme back, you need to stop black glass. Enhance the system trey notification area, right click on the black glass icon and exit. Close the open windows and then reopen those.

Hopefully the glitch will not be there anymore.

    Hi, Arc,

Thanks for your reply. That was actually one of my guesses. I tried to change the backgrounds to black, but it didn’t work. I’ll try again.

Hello Rand. Actually what you are trying? It cannot change any background to black, but changes a black background to transparent; and a non black background to hazy unreadable.
