Custom context menu items not showing

This is a fresh install of windows 7, none of the custom menu items are appearing on the right click menu, .e.g. usually when I right click an image I get "Edit with gimp", but its not appearing.

I checked the registry to see if the keys are there, and they are, i even added some custom ones (upload to web) but none are showing up! (see snapshot)

I tried other file types too (txt, jpg), and they will not work either.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

What version of gimp are you using?

Did you change in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes ?

Figured it out, it was because i set my default image viewer for png files to open with XnView, so the registry keys needed to be under "XnViewMP.png", rather than "pngfile"

Good to hear you got it figured out, that was going to be my next question if you installed some kind of other photo viewing or editing software.
