Can i get a moving wallpaper for windows 7 (Not .gif or a Slideshow)

    Hello, I'm CrazyKilla

I want to get a moving wallpaper on windows 7,
I've tried .gif, it doesn't work for me and just gives a black screen
I've tried a slideshow, but it's just too slow

I'm wondering if there is a program which I can give a video file and make it use it as my wallpaper,
    Help please!

You could also use Stardock's Deskscapes.

    from the tutorial :
    Method II
Another method to have DreamScenes is to install any 3p program.Until now I know three programs which let you enjoy animated wallpapers: VLC Media Player,DeskScapes,DreamScene VideoWallpaper
Unfortunatelly only VLC Media Player is freeware.
    ok - I have vlc. what/where is/are steps for method 2?

OK - The media player method (Method 2)? well, maybe I am confused. It all seems to me no different that simply playing/looping any video file in full-screen mode. where am I missing something here?

Perhaps Method 1 is easier on resources? I'll try that next ...
