Windows 7: Customization for Windows 7 (icons, sounds)

28 Jun 2013   #11

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Ironically ICit2lol, yes I have. About 23 minutes after I posted this. Hadn't found my way back to log the success. I assumed that when you say "No Sounds" that you will receive *No Sounds*. Foolish, foolish me.

Not as bad as my No Sounds issue with XP.
Did everything, absolutely Everything conceivable short of destroying the PC. But randomly I would still get one of the stupid Windows jingles, and I mean totally randomly.
It was not until one night, when I was sitting on the floor, trying desperately to hammer some learning into my skull ahead of Finals. And the sound happened again. I thought "Arrrrgh But I Didn't Do Anything!!!".

That is when I finally found out that my free *cough* copy of Van Morrison's "Brown Sugar" had the Windows jingle embedded in it. Random play + random sound.
