    Bat File Help

I hope I'm posting in the correct forum.
Can someone show me how or create a bat file to open a folder an move a file to a new folder.
This what I have - A Main Folder with all my sub folders.

    1) Open Main Folder (main folder have sub folders with different folder names)
    2) Open each sub folders and move the file(s) to a new folder (all files in sub folders have a different file name and extension)
Results the new folder will have files only.
    Thank you

If this is something that you are going to be doing over and over again - then a batch file is what you need.

If this is for a one time change to the way you store some files - then you should search for *.*

Are all of the files uniquely named?

The files and folders are not uniquely named. All different file names with several different extensions.
    Folder BOOKS File test.txt
    MOVIES File test.mts
    TOGET File test.xls etc

Man - I must be going blind (or I was sleepy).
Your OP clearly stated "all files in sub folders have a different file name..."
    Sorry about that.

Use the Windows (file) Explorer to search for *.*
Select/move the files to the desired "new folder".

If you need more details than that, then please post a screenshot of the folder structure that you are working with.

Writing a batch file to do what you want would require even more details from you as to the folders involved.
