Identifying What A Key Combo Executes

I have an app that enables and disables a function with each press of a key combo. I would like to create an icon and place it in the taskbar that performs this same function (there are topics here already that will help me with this part). Therefore, I would like to learn how to discover/identify/display/etc. the command that executes when I use the key combo.

Hmmm, I expect this would be more complicated then you would think. Your system would no doubt have many programs that, if in focus, would execute commands with certain key combos. You might be able to see what the last executed run command was, but that may not even be precise, or what you seek. Navigate to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/RunMRU

If your run history is deleted, then the mru created by the key combo would be listed. I doubt this is what you seek, as you no doubt already know what the key combo does, but rather seek exactly what commands are run to accomplish that.

clear enough - thnx. I'll try and contact the app designer for the data. Probably the best way to approach this?
