    Any way to rearrange entries in 'new context menu'?


    Hi all

    Nice tuts Brink, I've been following several of them from the 8forums tut index, really helpful all of 'em. Thx alot.

    I've got 1 question tho. Is there a way to rearrange the entries in the 'new context menu' like putting 'Text Document' over 'Bitmap image'. I know there was a tool for WinXP called Tweak UI by Microsoft which allowed you to do just that and some other cool stuff. But it seems discontinued and since im coming straight from XP to 8, I wonder if this option is still available by reg tweakings.

    Welcome to Seven Forums SCORPION87. Are you asking for Windows 8? If for Windows 7, have a look at FileMenu Tools

    Not sure it works in Windows 8 or not.

Hi. Neither my WinRar nor my 7-zip installation shows the usual options in the context menu when I right-click on a file/folder - compressed or uncompressed. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled, but still nothing. Just occasionally the WinRar options show - but then the options are gone again...
I don't know if this is a widespread problem, but I just noticed that I have duplicate context menu entries for "Files" and "Programs" that are reached by typing into the search box at the Start menu. See attached screenshot. This doesn't apply to Control Panel items, Videos, Documents, Music, etc....
