French accented letters fine in webmail yet replaced by ?? in .txt

Hi,

I have a form with charset = utf-8 which sends results such as these (in webmail):

(attachment 1)

yet when I try to transfer the actual email into .txt, I get this:

Avec son focus sur la client??le locale, ACME offre une alternative int??ressante aux g??n??ralistes bla bla bla ...

(accents are turned into "??".)

Attachment 2 shows my regional settings.

What's killing me is that this does not happen on 2 different pcs I tried it on.

What else can I look into to find a solution?

Thanks.

Hi Dude,

Thanks for your reply yet the thing is I can type French without any problems: it's just that when I open this email, it gets corrupted for some reason and since I need to open around 200 of these daily and work on them, I wish I could find a way to fix it...

Have a nice weekend!

thanks again Dude yet it still doesn't work... My hypothesis is that is has to do with the way utf-8 gets interpreted. Thanks anyway for your help.
