Well guys my first attempt at a sig , i used my crest pooman made for me but i added a bit of depth to it and i used the font Arc made for me a while back, i played about with it .
the rest is my own work playing around a little more.

so there we go, im not sure it works too well on a small sig but looks ok in the large size...

any advice on how to get the best size and not distort the image.
what size canvas do you guys start with so it renders down well into the 650 x 150 size

    Well done Julian, nice rack
cheers jerry. thought i would dip my toes in.

Still waiting for my connection to reset.

Anyway, here's my work-in-progress for A Guy. I'll finish it once my speed resets and I can d/l the
brushes and some artwork that I need.

Probably won't look much like this once it's completed, knowing me...

Well, that's been an interesting couple of days...

It has been absolutely pouring with rain here for the past 40-odd hours, and cold and miserable with it. It
would have been a perfect time to curl up in front of the heater and get some GFX done. Like finishing off
that sig for A Guy, for example.

    But noooo...

Some of you will remember my mentioning that I'd scored a copy of Photo-Shop CS5. Well, when I installed it, it fired up without a worry, and accepted the supplied product key. It ran like a charm, and I was really liking it. But when I kicked it in the guts yesterday, it asked me if I'd like to continue with the trial version, or purchase the full version.

I wasn't best pleased at that, believe me. So, I contacted the fellow I got it from to see what the 'go' was. My first thought was that he was flying the 'Jolly Roger', and expected to be told 'too bad, so sad' but he went and checked, turned out he'd given me the wrong ISO. I had the right key, but the wrong version. He thought he'd given me Photo-Shop CS5, but had actually given me his CS 5.5 suite instead. So I ended up with the whole Creative Suite 5.5 instead of just Photo-Shop CS5, but couldn't run it. Nor did I particularly need it, as I have the full CS2 suite (32-bit) and only wanted Photo-Shop 5 cos it does 3D and is 64-bit.

Anyway, he dropped around this morning with the correct ISO, so after bringing a clean image across, we
installed it, it worked, it activated and registered, and I'm good to go again.

I really was starting to think the worst, especially as he'd essentially given it to me (we'd been discussing PS and graphic design at work, and when he discovered what I'm doing, he offered me the PS5 because he'd bought CS5.5 and so it was surplus to his needs). So now, he has his full-version back, and I have the legal working copy of PS5 that I thought I had in the first place.

So now I can get something happening without the worry of a trial version expiring on me, or the risks of using buccaneered software. And he was rapt that he got his 5.5 back again. Couldn't have done that if I'd bought it at a car-boot sale (as I often do, but usually old OSes) or if he or I had actually hoisted the old 'Jolly Roger'. And no, if it had been pirated, I wouldn't have knowingly used it anyway.

All is now good with the world (well, my little bit of it, at least).

    Cheers!!

I tried creating a nice new sig for myself, but I just can't get it right
Here's what I have so far.

EDIT: My biggest problem is that when I resize it, PS completely messes the sig up. Now I know why this is, but argh!
Is there some way to keep the quality nice and high while resizing?

    Newest creation!
Couldn't get the lighting quite right, but as with the previous one, it's a problem that occurs after resizing-.-
