i was thinking of a 1950's american car fender sig , whilst looking for images i ended up with a fender guitar and 50's green colors.

Yea, it turned out I just had a way to dark background texture and my bevel and emboss was to big.

That's really easy. Just type some text on top of a texture, ctrl+click on the little box on the left of the texture layer while still having the text layer selected, and apply the selection as a layer mask on the texture layer, that's it.

yeah easier said than done nommy ,
i saw a vid of arc making a sig in 9 and a half mins,
takes me easy 9 and a half hours.
