    Third Party Theme Problem

If you look at the personalization screen above you will see that any new 3rd party theme is being placed on top on the existing theme. Awhile ago they were being placed in an area below the basic themes in a are that was titles Installed Themes. Now for some reason they go on top of My themes in a single line that will rise higher as I add themes. I am at a complete loss what is causing this. I have all of the required patches and theme resource changer 64 bit installed. Any help with this will be appreciated.

I remember your problem Gary, I have never seen that before.
When was the last time you did a clean install of Windows 7?

About a week ago and it started doing it then. You can see it is growing. All of the items in the view are greyed out as well.

I think I am going to remove everything that I have that has to do with third party themes. All of the theme, the patches .etc and get it back to a standard Windows 7 system. I then will do an in place restore repair install. I have way to much to lose to do a clean install. If This does not work then I just won't use themes? I do not know what else to do either. If the themes were placed side by side, I would not care where they are as all of the themes work.

Have you tried making a new account and see if it's the same or safe mode?

Well I did it and the result was worse than the problem. I had to call MS to get it activated but that was easy but I kept on getting an error saying that my .NET 4.5 needs to be repaired. I installed the repair tool from MS but it would not fix it. This morning I restored my PC to an image right after the patches were installed on Tuesday. As far as the themes go, I am only interested in running one of them so if it goes on top so be it. Thanks for your help Bongo!

You're welcome Gary, you sure have an odd problem I can't imagine it is hardware related at all, something with the OS but I would've thought a clean install would have fixed in a problem.

Sorry I couldn't have been of more help.

Well it really wasn't a clean install, it was an inplace repair install. I think a clean install would fix it but I have too much stuff to lose and the problem I am having is just an annoyance as the Themes do work. I am only going to install one, so it will not be a problem.
