Looking OK now? Changed the color scheme a bit, will suit both Ultimate/ Pro/Home users now...
Thats nice Arc... All layers had to be flattened (PS was responding very slowly) only the logo is separate layer now. Will I post the psd (I mean give link to sky drive?) or post the jpeg?
Thanks for the (premature) appreciation !
I have uploaded it to Sky drive in original size in jpeg format (981 kb); png would be huge!
Here it is:

I like this one the best, cool blue and no logo. If you still have it post it as close to 1920 x 1065 as you can. Thanks!

YVW Arc - Here are the pics that served as the nuclei (or basis) for my two recent composites.
I can't say where exactly either of them came from as I've had them in my collections for quite a while. Though do I believe I have seen the medallion at deviantART.
For the medallion... Starting from scratch, I made as close a copy as I could in PS, then added the Win7 25th personalization. For the "Windows Logo" I first made a vector drawing of the HD logo in CorelDraw. Using that as a guide I created the custom typography. Put it all together and this is what I came up with.
As for the biker babe (I always loved this picture)... it was a more straight forward PS cut and paste-up. Although it's technically not a Harley, I really like the way the blue plays in the finished product (not the least of which the way the model sells shot). The Corel template was again use to create the "Windows 7 Treatment".
I never thought to ask (DOH) but I sure could have used the WinSeven Forum Logo yesterday. I had to use an old dogeared and tattered one I had in the closet <kidding> Thanks for the upload, now I have nice new one
All my best to everyone
@WindowsStar: I tried as close as possible. My lappy was going to hang, so I had to merge the layers, so unfortunately, that exact color cant be reproduced. Next time I will save in psd format step by step.
But, I tried as you have requested: its exactly 1920x1024 in size and without any logo.:)

@WindowsStar:
I am glad you liked it. Actually it was late night (rather early morning; 03:30 AM here), so my brain was not working properly
Thanks for sharing your procedure, Ed . I often try to learn CorelDraw, but till no not good enough with it
And nice wally there, Nokia 73
