really want photoshop cs4 but it's way to expensive so I just have to get by with Gimp and Corel. You can only do so much with them.

While I have access to Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Corel, pretty much all commercial image editing software, I find Gimp to be my favorite.. You just have to learn how to imitate the effects that PS makes.

I made these in about 5 minutes each with Gimp. Just having fun.

Tried .... various times. If you have seen the outcomes .... they are really ugly just like me, friend

Well just keep trying! My work has always been ugly (I still think most of my newer stuff is)

You can see that I like to use the same brush at the bottom left.. dunno why, I just do.

That is exactly what I do, and try (it is also very hard) to believe that one day I will be able to make at least one that may take place on at least three desktops.
