Removing Short Date

Is there anyway to remove the short date beneath the time without using some kind of additional program or anything like that? =(

Right-click taskbar choose Properties. Then check Use small icons

You can changed the Short date format on the taskbar though.

I use small icons on the taskbar and there is no date below the time.

Widen the bar. It will appear.

Unwidened, mine isn't showing now that it takes 4 digits to show the MM/DD. On 9/1, it did show.

With the defaults, and a single row of icons, the date does not appear below the time - there isn't room with the small icons.

Strange,

The short date appears on my taskbar with small or large icons being used.
