Laptop wont start after removing custom icons!

    Hey,

I downloaded a Alienware theme, but couldnt get rid of the icons. So I downloaded something from Deviantart, I read on the forum, cant remember link, that if I had service pack 1, I could use it and remove the icons. So I opened it up, and followed the steps (in cmd thing) where it asked me if i wanted to restore to default icons. I said Yes. Now it needed a reboot it said, I did. But while rebooting this comes up:

    Name: LogonUI.exe - System error

Message: The program can't start because SHELL32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

And when I hit OK, this happens:

Taken with phone, sorry quality, it says Windows Ultimate. Its the normal screen, but it is black, and I cant acess my desktop. PLEASE HELP ME. I have no clue what to do! I will try looking for the links where I read it, and where i downloaded it, it was deviantart, but will find link as said.

This is what I used: Win7 defalt iconpack installer by ~cutechinu on deviantART

My PC dont work, it is 3,000$ we are talking about. That wasnt meant as a bump, but I understand why you think that. But I have never ever had so serious problems, I am helpless and don't know what to do. So sorry, for being desperate.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

If this is a $3000 computer why didn't you have a backup image before installing the alienware theme?

Look at this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot you may have to do this up to three different times with a reboot after each scan.

If the above doesn't work I would recommend using a Linux live CD and an external hard drive and try to transfer your data (documents, music, pictures, etc.) to the external hard drive go to your manufactures website and download the drivers and then do a clean install Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Try booting into the Advanced Boot Options and select Repair your computer.

Select System Restore, and restore to a point before you made this change (if you have one).
