Hello Poonam, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The desktop and log on screen are two separate backgrounds that use their own separate images. You should be able to change both to whatever you like.

    Log On Screen - Change

    Desktop Background - Change

    Hope this helps, :)

    Poonam,

Did you try using the free program in OPTION ONE or OPTION TWO in the tutorial I posted above to change your log on screen?

Sure, OPTION THREE will show you how to manually do it in the registry, but it's tricky and involved. One tiny mistake, and it will not work.

If you like, the program in OPTION ONE is a standalone .exe that doesn't install itself. It only makes changing your log on screen easier to do. :)

Can you confirm the image you tried using meets these requirements...

The custom image that you use must be a .jpg image less than 256 KB in size, or this will not work
That is from option 3 in the tutorial.
