Hello Takuro, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you mean your C:\Users\(user-name) folder, then the tutorial below should be able to help.

User Folders - Change Default Icon

    Hope this helps,

thanks for your reply, as i'm not at home so i don't have a chance to try your methods yet, but seems that changing icon problem is not only occur on C:\Users\(user-name) folder, right, C:/ is my system hardisk, but i was trying to change the icon of the folder which located on D:/, this drive is only for storing stuff like photo....which lead me think that this happened on all of the folder/software etc on my win 7.....

p.s. i'm from Hong Kong and my English is not that good, hope you can understand what i'm trying to say....

Is it a external hard drive? If so, then changes made to removable drives like this, such as an external hard drives, do not stick. Only with internal drives.

Was this another one of Windows 7 default icons that you selected, or one of your own? If one of your own, is it a 256x256 icon? As a test, change the folder to different icon sizes in Windows Explorer to see if it may only work on a certain size.

this folder is from my old XP, this was created inside My document, and the icon has changed to my own icon when it was on XP (so it is not default xp icon now) . will this be effected?? i have just came up an idea, if i still cannot change it, i will create another folder and copy all file inside the old folder to new folder

Since it was a XP folder, you may need to use your workaround of creating a new folder and copying the contents into it to change that folder's icons instead.
