    How to change Windows orb in System Properties?


    How can I customize the orb in the System Properties?

    You can probably change it, but it may take a lot of work and hacking.

    EDIT: After searching around in DLL files with Resource Hacker, I have found a solution. : D
    Open shellbrd.dll (Windows\Branding\ShellBRD) with ResHacker. Open BITMAP, then 1050, 2050 or 3050 (the orb in different sizes).

    The easy way to do this is to replace the existing oemlogo.sys in the windows\system folder with a suitable .Bmp windows bitmap file.

    The file must be renamed to oemlogo.sys
