How do I remove this 'resizer' area from the top of every Window?

Hello,

How do I remove this 'resizer' area from the top of every Window as the image below shows?

You can't resize it, either smaller or larger, and it's very annoying. It shouldn't be there at all, I've checked with another Windows 7 computer.

Thread moved to customisation - as this is an option which will require changes to the system files, (if it is possible at all)

Sorry that I posted it in the wrong section.

Also, does anyone know how this could have happened?

No issue with the post location - it's just that you may get more specific help here.

This area is as I understand it, (not really my area of expertise), set in the design of the actual window by microsoft and is not normally user modifiable - the experts who frequent this area of the site may be able to lead you to undocumented possibilities - give it a little time and hopefully someone will be along to help

You can remove the menu bar again if you don't want it.
