Adobe is going double down on creative cloud,
Lady said they're moving away from selling and more into renting the software,
But said cs6 was 699.00 and not offering cs5 anymore,
Very cluttered site,
Cheers,
Breaking the mold
There is currently an offer of Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 for $10 pm for the first year. I've taken it up. https://creative.adobe.com/plans/off...?promoid=KHQFP
Only $9.99.00 USD/ month
For a limited time, you can join a special Creative Cloud plan. It includes access to Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5, plus feature updates and upgrades as they are available, 20GB of cloud storage for file sharing and collaboration, and a Behance ProSite. And it's just US $9.99/month when you sign up for a one-year plan, but you need to join by December 31, 2013. Questions? See our FAQ and terms.
Not interested in cloud-based/subscription software.
I'll stick with my Photoshop CS5 Enhanced, and freeware programs.
Wenda.
I'm in two minds myself. On the one hand not owning the software is a bit off putting but on the other hand paying a monthly rental is a lot more affordable particularly if you want to keep up to date with the latest versions.
Darn, I don't have a witty come back for that, I will when it doesn't apply though.
Actually as long as what I have keeps on working, which I think it will, I see no reason for a subscription, albeit very attractive. I have about $800 in my CS5 upgraded to CS6 now. Some of those cheap monthly plans say, ex. $10 a month and when one signs up a whole year's fee is due up front. Not so here, after a dozen web pages it says they will bill a card each month for the fee.
