    Cant change taskbar background

So I bought a new laptop on sale (acer S3) and one thing I noticed is the taskbar has a background. It is not due to the wallpaper (happens with all wallpapers) also happens with all themes and color changes. Any help would be great since im getting the desktop how I like it but this taskbar problem is annoying.

Hello Brotherali, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Check to see if turning off transparency may help.

    Transparency - Enable or Disable

    Hope this helps, :)

In the last screen of the first option Sean linked, click on Show Color Mixer. Assuming you want black, click on slate (chocolate worked for me but you probably will find slate to work better). Drag the color intensity slider all the way to the right and drag the Hue, Saturation, and Brightness sliders all the way to the left. Click on Save Changes and close the window. Unfortunately, I don't know how to get rid of that thin, white border between the taskbar and the desktop. Hopefully, that will work for you.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

Those white lines that you see on the taskbar is a reflection image in the .msstyles. Look at the screenshot below I overlaid it on top of a gray background so you can see it.

If you are using the default aero theme I can change that for you, using Windows Style Builder and post it here in a zip folder.

    &
This will be a custom theme and you will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.
Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7
    Or
Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes

    Let me know.
