I tried running explorer.exe from Windows XP on Windows 7...

I was surprised it worked at all. I ran it under compatibility mode (XP SP3 /w run as Admin). Sure it's pretty useless, but it works. Couldn't someone fix this up and make it fully functional?

    Clear enough, right?

Welcome to Seven Forums tmontney. Have you just switched from XP to 7? The reason I ask is that is usually when people are trying to make 7 work like XP For the most part, after people get used to 7, they like it's functionality better, even if they miss some things from XP. For that reason, it's unlikely anyone would spend the time to make an XP Explorer work on 7. Classic Shell has a Classic Explorer, which is closest to this perhaps.

Is there something particular you'd want that 7 doesn't have?
