    Big Problem! Changed Logon screen, can't get into account anymore.


    Hey there,
    so i have a really big problem. I installed a logon theme i found on the internet. I had to change/replace these two files => authui.dll &
    basebrd.dll. After following all steps the correct way, i logged out of my user account to see how the new logon screen looked. Now i only got a blackscreen. When I restart my computer (even in safty mode) my computer loads windows and does only show me a blackscreen instead of the logon screeen, means i can not log in and repair the problem in the file system because i cant get to my desktop and i dont see anything.

    Is there anyway I can solve this problem without reseting my coumputer with a recovery cd? Its only because my pc cant show the logon screen correctly. There are two user accounts at the computer one with and one without password.

    Hello Jakom,

    If you like, you could also boot from a retail installation disk to do a system restore at boot.

    System Restore

    If you don't have one, then the tutorial will show you how to download an ISO to create a bootable installation DVD/USB with to use.
