Windows 7: Different folder view according to directory depth in explorer

Different folder view according to directory depth in explorer

Within a folder you can change its view settings. In a specific folder's settings you can optimize the folder for a given type of media (changing its view settings), and this can be applied to all subfolders. I am wondering if it is possible to set different view types for different levels of directory depth in a given folder without going through each subdirectory and editing it directly.

For example, I have a music folder that has hundreds of artist folders within it. Within each artist folder there are several album folders, within which there are music tracks. I would like to view the music folder and every artist folder as a list, but I would also like to view each album folder in details view displaying the track file's metadata. The problem is I have thousands of albums and would prefer to set a rule within the scope of my music folder to treat different depths in different ways. Is there any way to do this? Would it be possible to put together a script for this purpose?
