Photoshop can be used to produce false images - but can also produce what the photographer "saw" at the time of the shot, but was for some reason impossible to achieve naturally.
This shot is a composite but shows what a photographer buddy of mine saw on the day

Yes it's a false image but shows a better memory of the occasion than was possible at the time, both the plane and the background were shot within minutes of each other - I was standing next to him at the time so know it's true :)
Keith, if i'm looking for inspiration I run John's Background switcher with a couple of custom google image searches - set to a few minutes switch time and to save the images into a local directory I can scan through the images when I have a little time and will normally get ideas - of course with my working methods I have to then go and find some suitable subject matter or locations and photograph them, which is a different story - Google maps and street view can be great for locations though
