IE - Overlapping windows in taskbar when having tabs

hello- thanks in advance for your help.

so, i'm new to the combining windows on my taskbar.
but i guess i kinda like it.

however, i don't want internet explorer to show me overlapping windows when i have multiple tabs. that way, i cannot just open IE by one-clicking the icon on the taskbar. i'll always have to choose what tab to open, before really opening the IE window.

it makes sense to combine 2 or 3 seperately opened IE's, but not combing all tabs in IE. i.e google's chrome browser does exactly what i want, however i use both browser.

hope its clear enough
thanks

Have you tried going into the taskbar properties and changing it to group only when full to see if that works better for you.

well, the thing is that's where i just came from. i used to have never combined enabled. but for me it's just silly that i cannot one-click the IE icon if i have multiple tabs on. thanks thu for your swift response.

but do you know if i can de-activate the auto-preview when hovering over a taskbar button ( i am NOT talking about aero peek )

/EDIT

found the solution
