Hide extensions for known file types - only in specific folders

    Is that possible?
Alternatively, can I hide the extension of specific files (NOT all files with the same extension)?

    Thank you.

Looking on the net and from what I know I do not believe this is possible. Sorry

Some other windows explorer alternatives might offer that option.

I very much doubt that Windows Explorer has such a feature. From what I know of software design this kind of feature request is unlikely to get very far.

There are some well known security risks in hiding file extensions. It makes it easy to misrepresent a file as something other than it appears to be.
