    Windows Aero 3D?

I keep hearing a lot about people wanting more 3D stuff in windows 7, but what is that supposed to mean? What would you make 3D? Something like Bump Top?

    3D

I think they are talking about effects like "genie" from OS X and things like Compiz/Beryl. I have seen some movies now that have had Vista in the background, and the effects were there. I have seen Microsoft engineers create these effects, but never introduce them, and I don't know why. I have said it before, if Microsoft wants to give something to the "Ultimate" users, give them these effects as an addon/download. That would be cool, because it would be something I would download.

3D can mean a lot of things, from buttons and a taskbar that seem physically there, to the true 3D (you know, like a holographic desktop, that is in 3D space, and not on a monitor)

Because they tought this kind of thing is pretty useless and not really productive for the most of the windows users.

it's funny how they think such things are cumbersome when they go and make flip 3d, how many people actually use that instead of plain old alt tab?
