I have spent well hours and hours since I got my Win 7 computer in creating and setting custom icons for almost every folder and file. When I create an icon I put it inside a folder under C:\Windows\SysWOW64 then I have to go through the process of right clicking on the folder I want to customize etc etc. When I had an XP I had the icons in a folder inside the system32 folder but they didn't work when I transferred to the Win 7.
My question is whether there is any way to make sure I can keep all the customization when I transfer everything to another Win 7 computer, which will probably be soon.
BTW, why do you guys think there is no software that can make it easier to customize icons? I tried IconPackager when I had an XP and didn't like it for some reason I can't remember bow, but I do remember that it made all my MS Office icons blank even after I uninstalled it.
