Oh-oh looks like Mike started something.

That's very nice Keith. How do you do the rings? I've tried miserably.

Thanks Gary.

I use radial noise gradients and mask out the centre and outside. These are the settings for the gradient. I just press the randomise button until I get something I like.

You can also use an angle gradient to give it texture but that can be tricky to get right. Once you have the circle masked just use the transform tool to shape and position it.

I don't believe I started anything but only attempting to follow Keith's lead
Poorly but just getting started

There's more than a few ways to make rings brushes = hard to control colors,

Guilty. It's all my fault.

I've used that method in the past and it produces some good results. The problem with it is that if you look closely they are not rings so I came up with my current method.

And a nice method it is Keith
I can't get it to turn out like that or anything similar with those settings,
I must be missing something

As soon as I transform it the colors do not follow the new shape

Here is my PSD of the rings. Not sure whether it will make any more sense. I imported it into the wall as a smart object in Screen blend mode. Rings 3 might make more sense.
