Videos, Pictures and Music missing from Start Menu

I was wondering if anyone on here could possibly help me with this.

For some reason, even though its set to show the links on the start menu properties, for some reason the Videos, Pictures and Music links aren't anywhere to be seen on my start menu.

The link to my documents, downloads and games show fine, but the ones above don't.

Anyone got any guesses as to why this is happening?

    Thanks for the help ^^

Hi Ihm, Welcome to the "Seven Forums."

Try going into Task Bar Properties, then click on the tab "Start Menu" from there click on "Customize." Once there check to see if Music, Pictures, etc., are checked as "Don't display this item" if so that check to "Display as a link," or "Display as a menu." Hope this works for you.

No, as I said in my original post, they're all set correctly, I've tried changing them between all options to see if for some reason it forgot the setting or something, and still nothing happened. :/

Any got any idea about my problem :/ It's kinda annoying me now.

I tried creating a new user account and tried both setting them to display as link and menu on the new account and they still don't show...

I'm guessing theres a problem with my installation or something now... anyone?

    EDIT: Nevermind... I fixed it...

Appears that by disabling the libraries it removed those links, they aren't linked to direct folders anymore it seems, they're linked to the respective libraries... guess windows 7 isn't perfect...

Ihm, Is your version of 7 a box or download. Had not thought of that prior to this, dumb attack. Also do me a big favor and fill in your system specs, that will help to hopefully determine the problem (not guaranteed). Thanks :)

Its ok now thanks ^^ I managed to fix the problem my self, it seems that those links are connected to the libraries feature in 7, and as I had disabled the libararies, then those links were also disabled. By simply re-enabling the libararies I got my start menu links back.

And its a downloaded version, I got it free from my university lol ^^.
