    boot animation issues

I'm new to this forum, and new to customizing Windows 7.
Anyway I've got a Asus netbook with win7 starter, I'm trying to install a new boot animation (can do it fine on my tablet).
I've downloaded win7bootupdater, downloaded a boot animation, UN loaded the .rar file associated with the animation, and applied it to the computer. I get a message saying "text and animation applied successfully" but I restarted my computer and it shows the Windows load bar with the copyright underneath.

I've tried it multiple times with different boot animations and pictures on my computer with no luck. I'm lost.

Welcome to Seven Forums n0z4a2. What is the resolution of your netbook?

    Small Screen Size Problems

If your native resolution is below 1024x768 (for example on netbooks) you will always have the Vista-style boot animation. There is no solution for this right now and it cannot be modified with Vista boot modifiers.

I can't find anything that says it does, or does not work with Starter. You are getting the Vista boot animation correct?

This usually happens when the boot animation isn't compatible. Give time for other members to reply, I have never had any issue myself. A Guy

You could try this, but I don't know if it will restore the original animation, or your custom (or make no difference)

Start> In search box type cmd> Right click on cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator> When command prompt opens type

    bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US

    Change accordingly if not english-US

bcdedit /set {current} locale (your locale)

Ok I did what you said and neither the stock image or the custom on shows just the Vista loading screen

I should add I had to download the personalization menu just to have a custom background and I had to download star light to watch Netflix. This is by far the worst computer I've had, I've got a tower that's running Linux that works better than this.
