    Chuck if you have an edu email address you can get 3ds Max for free.

    Also, Gimp is awesome and free.

    I used to use both when I was making sigs. Still want to get back into it but right now no time for the fun stuff

    Yea I believe the new version of GIMP is still unpatched but the prior version still works pretty well although I haven't used it in some time it was my second choice
    Patched by I mean some icons are invisible for a weird reason ?
    Paint.net I could not get used to the I felt cluttered interface :/

    Like I said earlier.. I'm homeschooled. No edu email.

    I can't seem to get used to GIMP. I have used it, mainly just for GIF's. But even with the GIF's I always make the background in Paint.NET and then I use GIMP to make some lights flash. Nothing too fancy.
