Move Start Menu anchor?

Hi!

I've set up my Windows 7 Task bar to be displayed vertically on the left side of my screen to save space. However I'm not at all happy with how the Start Menu is displayed using these settings. When pressing Start or Windows Key the Start Menu will appear over the task bar and block view of the first 5-6 programs. This is especially annoying when I'm using the Windows Key to expose the Task Bar while running a full screen application.

So I guess I'm looking for some program that will allow me to move the anchor of the Start Menu or even better a Windows setting that allows this to be customized, but I've had no luck finding such a thing.

Thanks for reading.

Hi Novocaine & welcome to Seven Forums

I had never noticed that the start menu did that when it's on the left......it's a pretty poor design fault IMO.
Here's a good start menu alternative.
Hope this helps
