Start Menu White Background

First of all I would like to thank all the contributors to this forum for making it so easy for people like me to customise their windows 7. I have managed to get just about everything that I wanted done, except...

When I click the start button and the start menu opens I have a nice transparent right column and next to it the horrid white space is there a way of making the whole menu transparent?

You could check on deviantART: where ART meets application! for a theme that would suit,or you could use one of mr.grims, heres his new one
http://www.sevenforums.com/customiza...-x86-beta.html

Heres the tutorial- Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes

Just be careful, some themes work in 64bit and not in 32 bit.

Theme - Customize Custom Themes

The above should be what your looking for

I would use resorator to make the changes of a copy, then change the name of the original theme and paste your copy fully done into the file folder, incase you make mistakes that is,but if your confident then there would be no need

I have tried before to open a theme file in restorator but it tells me it is an unsupporeted file.
Any thoughts?

If your using the default theme, open C:\windows\resources\themes and copy which ever theme you are using to my documents, open it wiht restorator there, maybe it will work that way.

That's what I did. Restorator won't open a theme file

To change to a custom theme download UXStyle Core: UxStyle - no more patching.. This will mod the files needed to run a custom theme
