Windows 7: Custom boot animations gone after latest Microsoft update.

I had the same problem as everyone else. Could not uninstall the update.
I managed to fix mine without uninstalling KB:2949927.
I have dual boot win7 ultimate and professional x64.
I copied the winload.exe from the professional install and replaced it in my ultimate install. Windows/System32.
Reapplied my boot screen, all is back to how i had it before the update.

I just found out that Win7BootUpdater saves a copy of the old winload (renamed winload~1) in Windows\System32. If you don't have a dual boot then the Win7BootUpdater homepage has instructions on how to do it thru System Recovery.

If I could go a little off topic, does anybody know how to make Win7BootUpdater scale for 1920x1080? I searched for this but came up empty.

BIOS - Incremental updates to latest vrsn or direct update to latest?
Greetings! I have Acer Aspire 5750G. My current BIOS version is 1.07. The latest version is 1.12. There are a few versions in between. Should I do incremental updates and reach 1.12 or should I just go direct to 1.12? Many Thanks!
