Windows 7 - Animated Desktops?

I'd like to know how to set up an animated desktop. I tried DeskScapes but when I pressed the apply button on the wallpaper nothing happened. I also turned on transparency because I read somewhere that it helped.

I know of a way to get Dreamscene working on Windows 7, but it implies downgrading to vista first, and then upgrading back to Windows 7. A rather plump methode, but it's the only way to get it working :

When I use that it gives me the error that I have to run it as Administrator, I've used the Take Ownership and Run as Administrator and it brings up the same thing.

Yes I am, though Windows 7 is retarded so it doesn't let me edit certain files because I'm not some inaccesible user.

Try disabling UAC. It probably stopping you from editing those files.

It is set to Never notify, this means disabled right?

If you mean the slider is all the way down, then yes, it's disabled.

Well, i've heard before of this issue with some ppl. They end up using UxTheme for customizing themes. That always works, but means patching certain files.
