    * Classic theme under DWM

    * Boot menu on an external monitor

    * Now, disabling Live Folders.

    The attached reg file does the trick.

    Sorry to necro this thread, but is this registry entry for Windows 7? I registered to ask since I was confused since you said you can't do this on Windows 7, but I was hoping you meant in this post you found a registry entry that will actually work on Windows 7.

    No, it does not work on Windows 7, only on Windows 8 and possibly on Win 10

    I was afraid that was the case, thanks for answering such an old thread. I didn't want to risk using the reg file if I wasn't sure it would work. I'm slowly changing the folder icons manually or putting a folder.jpg if it's a music folder. It's going to take a long time...
