    Print screen and crop

    Is there a way to use prtscn and crop the desired portion of the screen at the same time? Actually, indicate the cropping first and then capture that cropped image? This would save a step in Paint. Thanks.

    It would be better if you used the Snipping Tool usually located in the start menu.

    It works like cropping an area of the screen, then you can save to a folder of your making.

    Sometimes I will use paint to do a little touch-up if needed.

    Try this;

    PicPick :: All-in-one Design Tools, Screen Capture, Image editor, Color Picker, Pixel Ruler...

    <http://www.picpick.org/>

    Very good indeed, and free for personal use.

    For that specific operation, ( and PicPick can do an awful of things), with PicPick running in the tray, you just press <shift> <PrtScrn> and the program gives you a set of mouse controlled cross-hairs to select whatever you want. You can also edit the results etc etc.

    crop the screen automatically

    I was looking for a tiny tool to crop images for my website when I found this forum.

    I found the tool I was looking for. I know this post is old, but it can serve others who, like me, have arrived here.

    Here is the link for the download:
    For1euro - autocropscreen-automatic-thumbnail-creation

    happy new year and best wishes from Italy
